Entirely self-taught, Branco Stoysin began playing guitar at the age of 15 and very soon found a love of jazz and Brazilian music, influenced by Joe Pass, Charlie Parker and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Soon, Branco was being featured at a number of jazz venues and festivals in his home country and appeared at the largest festival "The Days of Jazz in Novi Sad".

Branco has been composing his own music since he was 18. Inspired by the Sun, Jazz, Eastern European and Yugoslavian folk, Brazilian and classical music, having discovered an inexhaustible spring of pure and spiritual music. The interest in these compositions led to lengthy tours as a solo performer.

Following the tours, Branco formed his own "Sad Nova Trio" whose success led to concerts being broadcast on Radio and TV. Branco now lives in London, has formed his new trio and is actively composing and playing at venues such as the National Theatre foyer, the Royal Festival Hall foyer, the Barbican Arts Centre foyer, Bath International guitar festival, Dillingdon guitar festival, in Somerset, Soho London jazz festival, Jazz On The Streets, Birmingham Jazz Festival, International Guitar Festival of Great Britain, Wirral, and a number of jazz clubs, cafes and bars such as: Pizza Express, Cambridge Modern Jazz Club. He has also appeared with his trio on Sky TV "Arts World" programme. Branco also teaches music, guitar and improvisation and Goldsmith's College.

Leslee Booth - Six String Contra Bass studied at the Musician's Institute in Los Angeles U.S.A. and has been a professional musician since 1982. Les has toured with some of the best American jazz bands and R&B vocalists like Billy Eckstein, Gloria Gaynor, Freda Payne, George Williams (Thymes), Beatrice Reading and many others.

Paul Canton - Drums. Paul, most importantly, plays drums rather than drumming them! He has been playing for many years on the London jazz circuit and has played at all the main venues with many diverse styles of music. He is equally at home playing traditional jazz, swing, bop, Cuban, funk or contemporary styles of kit drumming. He has played at Brecon Jazz Festival. His regular London gigs include the Ivy, the Mezzo and the Roof Gardens. He also plays baritone sax and his idol is Gerry Mulligan.

"A truly individual voice on the instrument. He is a real find, a definitive original style laced with melodic and enthralling Eastern European Folk touches. Beautiful...Marvellous"

Chrissie Murray, Jazzwise

"Peaceful, melodic originals in which each note is there for a reason. He also sounds like nobody but himself, a rarity in this copycat age."

Jack Massarik, Evening Standard

Delicate, pastoral take on Latin-jazz, highly individual...utterly distinctive. Excellent album." John Lewis, Time Out
